Off the river a day early

Lots to report. But for now let me just say that kayaking is my new passion -- and the Buffalo River my new heaven. We had high water and made excellent time, especially the last day -- today.

Now in Branson, MO, trying to sort wet clothes from dry ones and finding the cleanest ones to wear until I can get to a laundry. I'll start doing the daily reports from the river soon.

Kathy is home from New Orleans, but I have the last of her reports to post as well. Stay tuned.

Concerning the Seattle Sauls

Welcome to the blog that tries to keep track of the Saul family in Seattle. It has some of the previous attempts at an online annual letter (formerly the Saul holiday letter) and was used to update how John was doing after surgery to remove a tumor in his skull.
The latest MRI (November 2014) showed nothing there (some of you suspected that all along) and no need to see the neurosurgeon for three years. Still on blood thinner, but doing fine.

Now getting ready for a summer of activities. Kathy has retired after 38 years at The Seattle Times, and John has promised not to even think about work until at least November. That should not be a problem with all that we have planned. Come share with us.
