We carpe'd this diem
I would like to blame the lack of posts on our first day of riding on technical difficulties. But I doubt that forgetting the email address to send to constitutes a technical difficulty. Now I know it, and I hope that I will be able to send photos and text via email from the road. I would write the email address on the back of my biking gloves, but I love the leather gloves I am using (thank you, Yoxalls!)Another technic . . . I mean mental error: I forgot my phone charger and can't transfer photos from my iPhone to my laptop so that I can post them. I did manage to email some photos to myself before dropping off the cell-phone coverage map. But I did not send the first two I took this morning, one in the Saul driveway at takeoff and another from our lunch in Snohomish. I'll try to catch up with those when I have a better Internet connection.
So here is all I can offer from today. Here's me on the Centennial Trail between Snohomish and Arlington:
Mary Jo on the trail:
Here's John Barrett (there are two Johns on this ride) and Mary Jo, heading for Oso with Whitehorse Mountain in the background:
Now we are enjoying the Saul-Kelly cabin at Lake Cavanaugh with beautiful, sunny weather and a salmon about to go on the grill.
We are carpe-ing this diem with a chokehold.
John B. (as in Saul)
