Hi, all. Your semi-faithful correspondent here, as night sets in after a long day. The Battle of Raymond has left John B. pretty wrung out. Now the fight is with a tired, sore body, a lot of nausea and a bit of fever. All worrisome, but not enough to call in the sheriffs so far. Vitals remain mostly stable, and there is no major sign of trouble, so I'm hanging on that, even though I can get pretty worked up with worry, as most of you know quite well.....
But we'll keep on, staying steady with the thought that John B. is used to putting up a good fight, and remains quite cogent, despite a load of drugs that make him pretty sleepy at the moment.
Speaking of sleep, I'm going to try to get some tonight -- at home, leaving John B. in the very capable hands of YenPei, who cared for him last night as well. She knows her stuff. I'll head back in around 6 a.m. before the docs make their early rounds.
Now about those mercies -- a big, fat merci from me to thee for all the comments here as well as e-mails and calls etc. You're terrific.
And about you people at the gym: I turned into the driveway this afternoon exhausted and a little down, and what do I see? A great big splash of bright primroses, their orange and red and yellow and white blooms in full glory with just a little bit of sun to show them off. And the note on the door, well, it turned my mood right around. Miss you guys a ton (which is about what I'm gonna weigh if I don't get my buns back in the door soon). I brought in the card for John to see. Special thanks to the artwork of Hadley Jane!Nice goin' girl! I'll see you maybe next Wednesday if Zadie brings you in and I am a good girl!
I'm off to give John a little kiss, then head for my bed......
